PWA for the postal company STG
An example of the progressive web app (PWA) with GPS delivery tracker we have built.
One of the key features in postal services is giving сustomers a sense of control of their cargo. We had to reach as many ways as possible to communicate with clients. We made customers' alerts in messengers and via SMS, developed a website with personal account functionality, and decided to develop a mobile application for regular customers. The application had the aim to be as the fastest and most effective way of communication with the client, to let solve all problems and learn about the condition of his cargo, while the possibilities of client support of the company significantly affect the costs of the company.
After a detailed study using design-thinking methodology, we have developed an application that covers the entire spectrum of the client's basic needs in one interface. The software integrates delivery tracking, payment system, delivery registration, and support services. The application is developed with the help of Progressive Web Application technology, which allowed us to make versions for iOS, Android in a very short period of time, as well as to give an opportunity to the clients to put it on the smartphone desktop directly from the browser without downloading the application.
The client has an opportunity to make new parcels within a few minutes directly from his smartphone. Also, he can immediately take out insurance and order re-packing of the parcel, using only a couple of buttons in the interface.
Real-time GPS tracking of packages
There are no circumstances the client doesn't know where his parcel is located. With the help of the application, the user can always find out the delivery status and request more detailed information from the support team.
Payment system for postal services
The application allows the user to bind his card and make payments in one click, or connect the payment system Apple Pay/Google Pay, which makes payment for services even easier.
Personal assistant for regular customers
The specific requirements of large customers are urgently addressed through a chat room with a personal assistant in the application. The assistant shall help the user to make the correct cargo registration, choose the most advantageous tariff and fulfill the request at any time. In case of any problems with the cargo, the customer can immediately send a photo to the assistant and accelerate the process of insurance reimbursement.
